To start with the hotel is in an excellent location well within easy transport links and walking distance of main locations and restaurants. It’s in the old town too which is a top area for exploring. The staff member who works mostly week day time was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. I was originally booked into an economy double for the duration of my stay. This was from a Thursday to Monday but when I originally booked I couldn’t book like this which I think was a glitch with the system on booking.com as the same room was available. Unfortunately the room I stayed in the first night looked over onto the street which is right next to a back packers hostel and a few bars. I believe this may be the situation with a number of the economy rooms as when I asked to be moved there was nothing else they could offer elsewhere. There was nothing else wrong with the room, and if you aren’t a light sleeper then probably could manage it but I really struggled. In the end I was able to upgrade to a more expensive room for the rest of the stay which was on the other side of the hotel. I didn’t encounter any of the noise issues. Some small points which I found a bit odd. They had double beds in both rooms but 2 x single duvets which is a bit annoying. Also unlike lots of international hotels they did have kettles and tea bags!! But no milk. I did source my own milk from breakfast, but it is easy to provide the little long life milk options for rooms. Others have remarked on breakfast. It is absolutely fine, but worth noting there are a lot of local options, but there is still plenty of choice including for veggies like me so I didn’t have an issue.

Actually i didn’t have complain about hotel room. Main and big complain is reception staff worker. When we signing in I get feeling we are not welcome there at all. She was very rude all the time. We didn’t know Latvia have tourists tax and when she explain it was difficult to understand. Also that plastic cover block voice so well I didn’t hear well what she said.. When I said I don’t understand what she try explain to us, her answer was - “I cannot do anything for that” After we paid that tax and she explain fast breakfast time, room number, etc.. I wanted to confirm that room number, her answer was “I just already said that”. I don’t know is something wrong about me, or is Latvia country and people’s behaviour like that? Anyway - I got feeling it’s s first and last time for me when I travelling to Latvia, but if I still one day travelling - then hotel will be some other than Forums Boutique Hotel!

Good location..Across the road from the bus station and a 5min walk to the old town and a number of restaurants and shops. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. There is air con but it didn't seem to be very powerful and we found the room uncomfortably warm even when it was on fully. There is a mini bar in the room and tea/ coffee making facilities. The TV has a number of English channels which is nice if you want to relax in the room. The bed sheets didn't seem to fit the bed which was strange and there was only 1 pillow provided per person. Overall, the hotel location, decor and staff are great however if you want to visit during the summer I'd chose somewhere that has better air con!

All was wonderful. Very caring and forthcoming staff. We enjoyed every minute of the stay. The room was very clean and the jacuzzi bath was amazing. The balcony made us feel like cats on the roof. :) We felt well taken care of. Had the sparkling wine and fruit platter ordered upon arrival which was amazing. The room had bathrobes and slippers so it was very nice after the jacuzzi to just lay down in the very comfy bed and drift off to sleep. The breakfast was also amazing. It had everything and it tasted great. The stay was so good we felt sorry we only booked a one nights stay as we did not want to leave.

Situated in the old town just a 5 min walk from the market. Staff were excellent 👍🏻 very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good a mix of hot and cold buffet with something for everyone. Rooms were lovely, comfy beds and very clean. We had fab and easy follow instructions from Hotel on arriving at airport and finding the hotel we chose to use the shuttle bus very cheap and took about 45 mins. On return to airport we asked for a taxi and this was arranged and cost us about €25 taking about 20mins. We also went to the opera what a fab night out and tickets were only £25 each bargain !
